Highly Strategic Acquisition Broadens PFX’s Offering and Strengthens Its Industry Leadership
Pet Food Experts (PFX) has acquired select assets of Animal Supply Company (ASC) in a transformative move for the company and pet distribution industry. PFX now operates the largest cold-chain network in the industry, offering refrigerated and frozen direct-to-store service to a wide customer base, including pet superstores, national and regional chains, farm and feed stores, and neighborhood pet shops. By adding ASC’s leading cold chain distribution platform, PFX is well-positioned to service growing demand for refrigerated and frozen pet food. Additionally, ASC’s 3PL direct-to-consumer and veterinary clinic capabilities have been integrated into PFX’s expanded distribution network.
Following the successful integration of ASC assets into the PFX network, Pet Food Experts now benefits from an expanded geographic footprint and wider distribution capabilities, thereby driving better service and offerings for customers. PFX now operates 10 distribution centers across the U.S. and partners with over 10,000 pet specialty retailers to supply dry, refrigerated and frozen products.
